Memorial Day Parade.
In remembrance of those who never made it home, Ontario cerebrates its Annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony on the TRUE Memorial day. The weather held out and was a beautiful day for the Parade. Starting at the Elementary School the Parade was lead out by our Color Guards and legionnaires along with our Commander Jerry Lamb, Followed by our Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, then our town Ambulance Explorer Post and our Fire Fighters. Thanks you to all these people for what they do each and every day to help keep us safe.
Ending at the Ontario Legion Post 428 the ceremonial began. Jerry Lamb began with a speech on remembering our true memorial day and of those who that gave their all for us, followed by our town supervisor John Smith. Karin Pickard was up next, with words on what memorial day is about and stands for. Up next was the beautiful Paula Ewing who gave the AUX Benediction. Next came the Memorial Day wreath placement, with the girl scouts placing flowers around the wreath. Such a sight to behold. Harry Pickard did the remembrance of those veterans who died this year. Then a big thank you to Jacob "Jack" Jarosinski for playing Amazing Grace on the bag pipes. Ceremony ended with the firing Squad doing a 21 gun salute in remembrance of those who gave their all. Thank you to every one who made this day complete....Looking forward to seeing everyone and more next year .
